Whether you are a professional athlete or a weekend warrior, performance training should always be geared towards your specific sport or hobbies. Regardless of what your specific performance goals are we can help take you to the next level. Our performance training focuses on improving:
Utilizing movement screening is a great way to decrease future likelihood of injury. Although injury prevention is common among athletes during pre-season screening, it also should be utilized for the general population. Utilizing a full body movement assessment can help to avoid injuries such as degenerative conditions, postural related pain syndromes, overuse injuries and more. Identifying and addressing a movement pattern before it becomes a problem can help to keep you pain free and avoid preventable surgeries and chronic pain.
Corrective exercises are utilized to address areas such as:
Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) is a treatment modality that involves the use of restrictive cuffs in order to partially occlude arterial blood flow to a limb and fully occlude the venous return from the limb. This restriction decreases the amount of oxygen delivered to the muscles which leads to a decreased load and intensity required to increase muscle strength and hypertrophy. Patients who benefit from this form of training include post-surgical patients, degenerative conditions in order to decrease joint loading, body builders and athletes looking to add an additional training session to a specific body part without further muscle breakdown and more. All BFR training must be performed under the close supervision of a medical professional who is certified in the application and carryout of this treatment.
Your initial visit will consist of 75-90 minutes with a Doctor of Physical Therapy. In this session, we will begin with a comprehensive history of your current and past physical ailments and limitations. We will then conduct a thorough full body movement assessment in order to determine any and all dysfunctions which could be contributing to your current issues. Utilizing the information gathered from your history and assessment, we will create a comprehensive plan of care. This includes summarizing all findings and an estimated time frame along with the number of visits needed to reach your goals. Full treatment sessions are included with every evaluation and all patients will receive a home exercise program to continue prior to the next session.
